Abstract

Pada era perang dingin tepatnya pada 18 Februari 1952, Turki secara resmi bergabung sebagai anggota The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). Wilayah strategis Turki yang membentang dari benua Asia hingga Eropa telah membentuk politik luar negeri Turki selama berabad-abad. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis politik Luar Negeri Turki sebagai anggota NATO pada era kepemimpinan Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan menggunakan data penelitian dari artikel ilmiah dan laporan lembaga resmi. Hasil penelitian ini adalah faktor penggerak terkuat foreign policy Turki muncul pada era Erdogan karena pemerintah Turki memiliki strategi yang efektif dalam merespon perkembangan lingkungan strategisnya.


In the Cold War era, precisely on February 18, 1952, Turkey officially joined as a member of The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). Turkey’s strategic territory that stretches from the Asian continent to Europe has shaped Turkey’s national politics for centuries. This study aims to analyze Turkey’s foreign policy as a member of NATO in the era of Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s leadership. This research method uses qualitative methods with research data from scientific articles and reports from official institutions. This study found that the strongest driving factor for Turkey’s foreign policy emerged in the Erdogan Era. The Turkish government has an effective strategy in responding to the development of its strategic environment.
