Keterkaitan Human Rights and Rule of Law terhadap Anggaran Pertahanan
Abstract
The relationship between military spending and human rights is one of the most prominent issues. Increased military spending significantly reduces human rights. Accelerating military spending has also been linked to declining human rights performance. This research approach uses quantitative descriptive research based on hypothesis testing based on the Spearman level correlation method. The Spearman level correlation method is applied to determine the level of closeness of the relationship between the independent variable and the dependent variable which contains ranking elements or is related to the order of the data. This research concludes that there is a relationship between human rights and rule of law and a country's defense budget. So, in the context of this case research, it is stated that there is indeed a relationship between the value of a country's human rights and rule of law and a country's defense budget (military expenditure by country, in millions of US$ at current prices and exchange rates).
