Abstract
Marriage is a bond between two families that prioritizes communication. This study aims to examine various forms of silent treatment in a marriage. The method used in this study is a qualitative approach by conducting in-depth interviews with 10 couples who have experienced silent treatment in their marriage, as well as analysis of relevant documents and literature. The results of the study revealed that silent treatment in marriage can be in the form of avoiding communication, refusing to speak, and manipulating emotions, which have serious impacts on the mental health of victims, such as depression, anxiety, sleep disorders, and decreased self-confidence. From a legal perspective, silent treatment can be classified as psychological violence
