Kepemimpinan Rato Marapu dan Kontribusinya terhadap Kepemimpinan Kepala Sekolah di Kabupaten SBD
Abstract
Teachers as leaders must be role models for the people they lead. It is important for teachers to know the cultural values of Marapu Sumba so that they can be used as guidelines in carrying out tasks at school. The purpose of the study was to determine the leadership model of Rato marapu (traditional elders) in Sumba and its relevance for leadership in schools. The method used is qualitative research. The research was conducted in Mutu Rata-North Wewewa District-Southwest Sumba Regency. The informants are old there, teachers and village governments who are domiciled in Mutu rata village. Data collection techniques are carried out through an interview process and data is analyzed by data triangulation. The results showed that Rato marapu's leadership model in Sumba has the same meaning as the principal's leadership model. However, the difference is that Rato Marabu's leadership model is used in cultural affairs as well as in the social field, while educational leadership tends to administrative leadership roles, leadership roles and managerial. Rato marapu's leadership model can be implemented by educational institutions such as leaders who are able to cooperate, trustworthy, honest, able to forgive, able to innovate, spiritual leadership, and exemplary and authoritative.
